No longer needing her phone, Indie put her helmet back on and pulled up a locator program. Another perk of being the team medic, the program was standard issue and a godsend out in the field and would probably be her only means of finding Illini this late at night.
A red light pulsated on her HUD three decks down and at the end of a long hall. Making her way to Illini’s position, Indie made sure all her credentials and clearances in order for when she got there. How she was going to talk the authorities into letting Illini go hadn’t come to her yet, but she was mulling it over as she walked.
The security collider was under human as well as electronic surveillance; two soldiers were posted facing opposite each other every ten feet with blacked domed cameras placed between them at the same distance. It would be a miracle if anyone ever got into this part of the ship secretly.
The ruby Freelancer walked up to the door and the guards stationed there. Handing over her identification, “Agent Indiana to see the young prisoner you have here. I was ordered to perform genetic testing to establish the prisoner’s identity."
