Mary! Bit of the forgotten sibling, after the initial batch (Roger, Tim, Sally) but before the mass produced Stans.(Sherman, Stuart, Lee)
Sally and a Walter. They wanna fight!
A Banner variant, WM01 MC "Weak Willy". Cheaper then the standard manned version, the Weak Willy has much cheaper arms and torso then the normal Willy.
Sketches of and about Roger. I revised his eyes, between the two cameras is spinning 3D imager supplemented by the horizontal 3D imager in his forehead.
*recreates gundam model kit box art with my robots*
Your robots were on the run from 2008 to 2012. Does this mean that this world is more advanced than our own? If so why? What technical innovation lead to robots that learned to the point of sentience?
In 1970, an Apollo mission discovered a variant of silicon on the moon that had much better properties for electronics. This led to a mining mission to the moon, causing the Soviet government to step back up its space program. The rekindled conflict led to more ambition in technology. By 2002, there’s a permanent moon base, automated mining missions to the asteroid belt, and the soviet union finally fell.
The mining missions mean there more precious metals for electronics, thus able to even consider mass producing advance robots.
Why were the robots made and what for? How are they viewed by the humans/whoever is in control? Do any of them have free will?
Well, the most common model, the WM-series, are domestic aid. Like as maid, butler or disabled service’s. Most of those aren’t sentient, but the later model Walters (the most recent WM model at start of story) develop sentience after about 5-6 years of being active. Some are used by business, or schools, as like Servers or clerks or Teachers Assistant.
They are mainly view as a luxury appliance.
There is small group of robots who were the first to be sentient that were on the run from the police for a while, like from 2008 to 2012.
