Not long after his naval term during #WWII, the #Chicago-born #illustrator created this double-deck set to best-selling success. My sister gifted them to me during my teens 3+ decades ago, when I collected all things #1940s + #1950s. At the time—pre-Google—we had a tough time learning anything about the artist.
