When I had this Teisco shipped over from Japan, it was a complete mess. The frets were hanging off of it, the fretboard itself looked like it had never seen a clean and looking at it in general, I was pretty sure I'd bought something that had been underwater for a period of time. Amazingly, I was able to get a reading from the pickups and after rewiring everything but using the original pots and switches, it fired right up! A refret and a great deal of tlc later, it was back to being a fully functional and very rad guitar. I bought it as a challenge to myself to see if I could coax life back into it, and I think a great deal of why I've kept it for so long, is because I managed to... a little bit proud I suppose I was. That's great and all, but it's a stupid reason to keep it, it's meant to be played, that was the challenge in the first place, to make it playable, and really it deserves to be played more than the once a month I generally give it. I love you, little K2L, but I think it might be time for us to part ways soon.
