No no no no noooo ! I start to see the good in the RinGisa ! I'm don't waaaaaaaaaaaant ! I'm a fervent ReiGisa !!! It's trahison !!! But Rin... in fact Rin could be perfect for Nagisa !! Rei is wrap around Nagisa's little finger. And Nagisa is a little shit. A adorable little shit mind you (can't believe they said they make him 100% pure...) and Rin... oh Rin would know how to handle him you see ? ... But... but my heart belong to Rei/Nagisa !!!
IT’S OKAY THAT’S WHAT MULTISHIPPING IS FORRRRRRR.
I’m really super interested in Rin and Nagisa’s relationship, in any sense, but there’s one fic that really sent me spiraling into the deep end for them and that is The Name of the Game (Is Love). Really great characterizations and realizations and it’s just fun all around.
ANYWAY, Rin’s definitely a character that needs a counterpart that will soften him a bit, I think. I tend to always put Free! characters in scenarios where they’re aged up, and wowowow ringisa would be so much fun. I think, in an aged up scenario, Rin’s irritation with Nagisa would be fonder almost?? And Nagisa’s silliness would be coupled with more of a slyness, so he’s slightly less in-your-face and more just, like, the guy who makes everyone laugh. I definitely think Rin would be able to tone Nagisa down, but Nagisa would also be the one who coaxes out some of Rin’s good natured-ness.
