We make over 35,000 conscious decisions in a day. That’s a lot! No wonder we are a little tired and a lot overwhelmed at times. While some decisions might carry little weight, others carry great weight and will shape the course of our destiny. God has given us His Spirit to lead us in all we say and do. We are not left alone to figure it out and we don’t have to stress over the decisions we need to make. God will give us the discernment and peace we need to move confidently forward. Spirit lead me in all that I do. All that I say. The relationships I have. The work that I do. And the way that I live my life. Teach me to do your will, for you are my God. May your gracious Spirit lead me forward on a firm footing. For the glory of your name, O Lord, preserve my life. Because of your faithfulness, bring me out of this distress. God given dreams require more than what we have to offer. I don’t think God intends for us to pull them off on our own. He gives us what it takes to have the strength, courage, and creativity to do whatever it is that He’s put on our hearts. We might not ever feel qualified or ready to start taking action on these dreams. That’s when we just have to take a step (or leap) forward and trust that He will lead and direct us as we go. In the morning when it’s time to get out of bed, I usually don’t feel “ready” to be awake. While I’m laying in bed I’m still groggy and heavy eyed. As soon as I sweep my feet onto the ground and get moving, I get a rush on energy to get my day started (... and then I head to the pantry to get Spark). I think it’s the same with our dreams. We feel most comfortable just thinking about our dreams. We realize it will be a little uncomfortable to sweep our feet into action. But when we do, we will get a rush of energy to keep moving forward. God will provide all that we need along the way.
