This is not a criminal matter but a humanitarian effort. Robert Martin, Tania Safi, and others aboard the vessel were providing life-saving support to Palestinians where governments have failed. Their seizure is effectively a kidnapping, as they were taken against their will and are being held without just cause. Australia must act swiftly and decisively to uphold the rights and safety of its citizens. What is the government doing to ensure the safe and immediate return of Robert Martin and Tania Safi and to challenge the illegality of their detention? We respectfully urge DFAT to expedite diplomatic efforts and publicly demand their release. Australians undertaking humanitarian action should not be abandoned. Sincerely,
