Sir. You consider 400 years of slavery a choice, but think the epidemic of violence in Chicago needs everyone in power’s undivided attention....if people willingly picking up guns and killings each other isn’t a choice (but he wouldn’t dare say that because that hits home for him) but 400 years of slavery in not just the US, the Caribbean and South America is...you’re delusional.
Kanye is the perfect example of someone who can sit in their Ivory-lover tower, with his Caucasian wife, biracial kids, and Caucasian outlook on life and be a “creative free-thinker” who can sit around and be a philosopher without any sort of consequences for his words. He has the privilege to just sit around and say whatever he pulls out of his ass and really think he’s being deep but forgets that some of us, including those people in Chicago he has so much sympathy for 🙄, are still out here dealing with the leftovers of slavery. It’s not “we’ve adopted a victim mentality” no nigga it’s just reality. We are STILL dealing with the aftershock. But once you make a few mil forget what the rest of us go through right? Ain’t no black man’s struggle when you got a white woman and mixed kids living the new American Dream right?
How does he look preaching about Chicago when he’s up in Calabasas as far removed from any average black person’s reality as he possibly could be? For some of us, slavery was just 3 generations ago (my grandfather was a damn sharecropper in Mississippi, my great grands on another side of my family are from the birthplace of the KKK and had to fight for their lives) like how dare you? Honestly he’s been trash but now he’s straight up compost. Hell, he’s the whole landfill at this point.
