There’s been a gradual proliferation of hearts popping up in shops and across social media, which can only mean one thing…Valentine’s Day is coming!! . If you’re feeling romantic but short of time, how about downloading my Valentine Garden freebie from bluecoppice.com? 🌳🌸💖 . I chose to decorate the climbing clematis plants with pink French knot flowers to match my pink ribbon - you could use a colour to match your decor or wedding colours, or add sparkle by using beads instead of French knots! 🤩 . I used 32ct Antique White linen but a pale green, light pink or primrose yellow would be pretty. For a larger piece, stitch on 28ct, go small with 40ct or teeny tiny with 56ct! You could use a cotton evenweave instead of linen 😃 . If you prefer aida, you might want to think about using a sharp needle instead of the blunt tapestry/cross-stitch for the back stitch and padded satin stitch - this will make it easier to pierce the aida ‘blocks’ 😊 . I’d love to see how you’ve decided to finish your Valentine Gardens, so don’t forget to tag me! . #bluecoppice #honeyapplemeadow #freechart #freevalentinepattern #crossstitching #crossstitchersofinstagram #stitchingsmalls #countedthreadembroidery #handmadevalentine #stayhomeandstitch #bewellandstitch #dmcthreads #zweigartlinen (at Rugby, Warwickshire) https://www.instagram.com/p/CZuj8Q6raBD/?utm_medium=tumblr
