This freezer pizza dough recipe allows you to prepare and store pizza dough in advance, making it convenient to whip up homemade pizzas whenever you crave them. The dough freezes well and yields a deliciously crisp and chewy crust.
Ingredients: 4 cups all-purpose flour. 1 packet 2 1/4 tsp active dry yeast. 1 1/2 tsp salt. 1 1/2 cups warm water. 2 tbsp olive oil. 1 tsp sugar.
Instructions: Warm the water, add the sugar, and mix the active dry yeast in a small bowl. Leave it alone for five to ten minutes until it foams up. Put the flour and salt in a large bowl and mix them together. In the middle, make a well. Place the yeast mix and olive oil into the flour well. Once a dough starts to form, knead it on a floured surface for five minutes or until it is smooth and springy. The dough should be split in half, then rolled into balls and put in two separate freezer bags that won't let air in. Put the dates on the bags and seal them up. You can freeze it for up to three months. The dough should be taken out of the freezer and left to thaw overnight in the fridge before you bake it. Put a pizza stone or baking sheet in the oven to heat up while you heat the oven to 475F 245C. On a floured surface, roll out the thawed dough to the thickness you want. Place the rolled-out dough on a pizza peel lined with parchment paper or another baking sheet. Putting your favorite pizza toppings on top will make the crust golden and the cheese bubbly and browned. Bake in a hot oven for 10 to 15 minutes. Cut your homemade pizza into pieces, serve it, and enjoy!
