My coworkers wouldnt let me walk home
It was really cold at the game last night so all thirteen marching band clarinets formed a huddle with three flutes and a saxophone and it transformed into cuddling and hugging everyone and I think it was bonding idk
NO SCHOOL!
*Takes off pants and crawls into bed*
-21 degrees Fahrenheit FOR A HIGH!
It hasn’t been this cold in Minnesota for the last twenty years! And let me tell ya, waking up today was a task. Right away, I suffered through turning my alarm off and looking at the temperature. When my phone read -21, I almost cried. It’s a terrible thing knowing that the next 40 minutes would be filled with trying to get everyone bundled up enough to face the extreme weather conditions. I immediately started my car, nothing scares me more than having to leave the house and hop into a frigid car with a preschooler. Then I fought my son into wearing his warmest sweatpants, long sleeve shirt and thickest sweatshirt. Let’s just say, the kid was not pleased. THEN trying to get the dog to go outside was no special task. I don’t blame him, who would want to expose their “private parts” in this weather. Definitely not me. After all of that (realizing the temperature, bundling a kiddo, taking the dog out), I still had to prepare myself. Do you know how awful it is even thinking about what you are going to wear when you don’t want to do anything but put your own sweatpants and hoodie back on and crawl in bed with a cup of coffee or Tazo’s Passion tea (one of my new favorites)? So, I made it to work. Thank God I have soup waiting for me at home during lunch… WAIT, that means that I will have to bear the cold again in just a few hours.. Does anyone have a personal heater I can carry around with me?? Yikes. Stay warm friends. Stay warm.
OMFG
Ok, so my roommate and I forgot the house keys and we arrived home at four, my other roommate, Pia, was fucking listening to music so she couldn't hear Paulina and I knocking the door.
WE HAD TO WAIT FOUR HOURS OUTSIDE THE HOUSE FREEZING OUT OMFG I HATE EVERYONE NOW, DON'T EVEN TOUCH ME.
In other news... THE NEW POPE WAS CHOSEN
i was in a group of girls and then there were loads of arguments and a best friend who wasnt in that group argued with a girl who was in that group and then i got dragged into it and said i was spreading shit and all the group fell out with me, so now they all hate me and laugh and stuff. i always fall out with the group so i think its best i move on and stick with my other best friend, what do you think?
Hey.
Groups of girls, boys or people can have a really positive effect on people's lives. In a group you're never alone and so much can be accomplished with a team spirit. The problem is that the strong force a group can have can also be used negatively - for example, to freeze someone out, like in your case. What they are doing is incredibly mean and is on the verge to bullying I'd say. They are probably pressuring each other to be mean to you as a form of group pressure.
I think your idea of moving on and sticking with your other best friend is a very good idea. If that group wants to be immature and not be able to let go of a fight, then that's fine - but that doesn't mean you have to be part of it. You have your other best friend to turn to and hang out with which is really great; it would have been a lot harder to break free from the group if you didn't have her to hang out with.
You may see that you start missing the feeling of belonging to a bigger group at some point - this is completely natural. Despite what happened and the fact that they are horrid to you now, they were still your friends at some point and it's completely normal for you to want to grieve that you lost them. Essentially you are losing people in your life you thought were your friends but turns out weren't at all. You've been betrayed by your friends and may feel like you want to mourn that they aren't in your life anymore. Let yourself feel this way! It's entirely expected. I do think though that despite you may feel like you miss them, it's important you stick to your decision. Maybe some day in the future when they've grown up you will be able to find back to each other.
For now though, I think you should move on and stick with your other best friend.
