Dark dark times are ahead, my friends. Watching people get elected through hatred, through campaigns that are against love and free rights makes me sick. I had to watch the Mayor of Rio be elected an homophobe, a religious fundamentalist, a racist, a mysoginist bastard who says women should submit more to men, since women are a part of men. Watching people nod along to this kind of sentiment and prove it through their right to vote sickens me. 

Hate never wins, though. Hate cannot win we won’t stop fighting. It may have won them an election, but it will not stop us. Darkness can only be taken down by light and we will shed light over everything and carry on fighting for education, for equality, for the right to love.

It doesn’t end here. It ends with our very last breath, with a defeated sigh. And their darkness will NEVER take our light!
