LOVE TO LOVE. We are still in that consious and unconscious season of evaluation. By now, there are some events of 2018 you may be analysing and asking yourself, did I do that, how did I get there, how could I have trusted him, how can I forgive her.... It makes you just hate yourself and may even think of physically hurting yourself. But wait a minute, is it worth it, do you deserve that pain, trouble, trauma? POINT TO NOTE ; If you allow yourself to get bitter you will refuse yourself to get better. Hurting people hurt people, yes it's true, call it transfer of agression, in my Psychology field of study, we call it defense mechanisms, it could be displacement, projection, denial of reality etc but it will definitely hurt your relationship with people. The opposite is love, love is a decision not because of but in spite of. Where else can you go to for a heart full dosage of love than 1Corinthians 13. Love to love God, yourself and others. . ALL IS NOT LOST. It really seems impossible to evaluate your year - 2018, without finding out that you have lost something. Some may be things you could not control, others may be things you contributed to, whatever you have lost, check again, there is something left. Sometimes we grieve so much over what is lost that we cannot see what is left. What is left is enough to get you 7 times more of what you lost if only you can commit that which is left into God's hand, He can make it right and alright. Please be encouraged, start again with what is left, a recovery turning point awaits you as promised in Proverbs 24: 16 "For a righteous man may fall seven times And rise again..." DIGGING DEEP? Yes it's that time of the year for evaluation. We all want to dig and analyze what the year has been, goals met, projects developed, love found, new births, ideas conceived, foundations laid, and so many targets met or unmet. The fact is, these evaluations are very important because it helps us plan our next new year resolutions. This time of evaluation can be very emotional and even sentimental, you need to be in control of your emotions while evaluating your year. Some mistakes especially the pains they had cost you should not follow you to cross into 2019 else they may weaken your January and so follow the other months before you get to recover and want to stand, another end of the year may be knocking, 😳God forbid!
