Martyrs 2008
Trouble every day Claire Denis 2001
This is probably one of my nichest opinions but the horror genre French extremism is just bad ESPECIALLY IN 90s-2000s.
It’s not that they’re bad in a cinematic sense (editing, direction, videography etc) or that I don’t understand them but, the use of violence kind of outweighs the plot.
Movies like martyrs or high tension leave me wondering why the movie was made— NOT in a good way.
Today includes
These films.
Baise-Moi An Education Apolcalypse Now Night of the Living Dead 30 Minutes or Less && Zombie Land I also got two boxsets: A bog standard Clint Eastwood collection that includes: Hang 'Em High A Fistful of Dollars For a Few Dollars More && The Good, The Bad and The Ugly
Then I come across this in the shop!!!
Which holds: The Lost Boys Constantine Ghost Ship House on Haunted Hill (90's remake with Geoffery Rush in) && House of Wax. Now this was already wanting me to buy it because there are some good ones there, at this I do mean The Lost Boys and Ghost Ship. But then I see the case for it. It is a blood boxset and so naturally the dvd's are encased in a blood cover. I actually love it. Has anyone ever seen something as grotesquely beautiful in their life?
