French towns to visit
Brest
Home to a naval museum, a university, and 140,000 people, Brest is the second largest town in Brittany. Check out their many parks, the château de brest, and the église saint-vaast while you’re there. In the winter brest can get quite nippy, with temperatures as low as -14 c (6.8 f) so be sure not to visit when its too cold.
Condom
Located in Gascony, Condom is a village of around 6,500 people. The site has been inhabited since the bronze age and features a castle, a cathedral and a statue of the three musketeers and that famous gascon d’Artagnan. With all the advantages that it has to offer, why not give Condom a try?
Bitche
Bitche, in Lorraine, is a village of a little over 5,000 on the border with Germany. There are several military sites to visit from the franco-prussian war and both world wars. Don’t forget about Bitche’s natural beauty, be sure to check out the many cliffs and lakes in the area!
Bussy
In France there are three villages called Bussy, one in the hauts de france, one in burgundy and one in centre-val de loire. Each has less than 400 inhabitants, so there is plenty of room in all of the Bussys in France.
Die
Known for its wine and hunting, this small village in drôme is surrounded by some amazing scenery. Any one who is going to die sure is lucky!

French towns swimming in floodwaters, now rising in on Paris
PARIS/January 28, 2018 (AP)(STL.News) — More than 200 French towns are struggling against floodwaters that have halted boat traffic in Paris, closed roads and schools and prompted the evacuation of hospitals.
Swollen by weeks of heavy rains, the Seine River is expected to reach its peak in the French capital late Sunday or early Monday.
Paris regional authorities say the floods have already caused damage in 240 towns. In Villennes-sur-Seine west of Paris, the ground floor of some buildings has disappeared underwater and residents are using boats instead of cars.
In Paris, cruise boat companies are suffering losses because all river traffic has been banned for days.
Police fined people who took a canoe Saturday into the Seine in central Paris, and sternly ordered others in a tweet against such actions, calling them “totally irresponsible.”
