What is Earl Grey Tea?
Earl grey is black tea + bergamot oil (though some brands will use bergamot flavoring instead)
Bergamot is the citrus fruit pictured below that gives Earl Grey teas a subtle and airy citrusy flavor and scent. The Bergamot oil is the distinguishing feature that makes a black tea an Earl Grey.

Earl Grey - The classic flavor
Lady Grey - Earl Grey with lemon and orange peels (sometimes includes cornflower)
French Earl Grey - Earl Grey with rose petals ( sometimes includes other floral and fruity notes as well)
Earl Grey Crème - Earl Grey with lavender and vanilla
Russian Earl Grey - Earl Grey with citrus peels or lemon grass

London Fogs are made with Earl Grey tea, steamed milk, and vanilla syrup
There are variations of Earl Grey teas that use green, white, or herbal teas instead or in addition to black tea
