The Prince of Wales has received the Ordre national de la Légion d'honneur I.e National Order of the Legion of Honour. Originally established in 1802 by Napoleon Bonaparte, it is the highest and most prestigious French national order of merit

The Prince has been made Grand Officier of the Legion of Honour and is wearing its Insignia (star) on his chest.
