Hello! I barely ever use Tumblr! But I am posting this because the internet is a horribly small place, isn't it? I just want to post my characters anywhere I can. Twitter is kinda good at this, but the pace is quick and the mood is violent.
Even if nobody sees this, ESPECIALLY BECAUSE nobody will see this, I must have record of my characters in every such place so that I may see them sparkle a little bit in the eyes of everyone who sees them. Or something. More realistically, I hate Twitter. I also like talking about my OCs. So here you go.
These 3 characters are from my series "Freshy's" that I've been working on on and off for about like...3 or so years now.
The whole jist is that they exist in a world of animal people and work in a convenience store and sitcom like shenanigans happens.
Think Slice of Life anime but with the pacing of an Adult Swim show.
Nina, is a Skunk who hates her job and is a toxic gamer on the side. Very anxious. Very passionate. Quite argumentative about random JRPGs.
Teddy, is a Dog who loves his job and generally is in a very good mood.
Kinda "simple" but very easy to like.
Very cartoonish, because he's into cartoons.
Lyn, is an Opossum who is the assistant manager of the store. Which doesn't mean much. But she basically failed upwards.
She generally doesn't give a shit about much of anything and is legally obligated to come to work kinda high.
She's quite level-headed but when worse comes to worse, she'll shrug every time.
Big metal head. Takes life easy. Outgoing and sociable.
I am in the middle of really trying to figure out their characterization and traits, especially to use for the sake of comedy, so please excuse the self imposed flandarization or whatever.
But basically each episode is comprised of pretty low stakes situations that generally have them in the store at some point.
But it's like a Patty's Pub thing where they barely show them actually working and it's just a place for the plot to get started, you know?
I've been working on this series for awhile so it's changed forms from short stories, to a comic, to a visual novel styled video series, to an audio drama thing where I READ OFF short stories, to an ACTUAL visual novel
Long story short, I am just trying to tell this story in whatever way I can, you know? In THIS economy, original productions like this have to survive on 0 dollars, I guess. Writing skill doesn't cost much in money, just in time and passion.
It's very hard. But either way, I am trying to make it work, I guess.
Lord knows how much money I already tried to put in to make this work lol.
But hey, if nothing else, having characters that I made is very life affirming, you know?
But yeah, that's a slight breakdown of the series. I have it up on my channel. Beware, like any series, the first episodes are EMBARRASSING!!!
But it comes with the territory, I guess.
Anyway, if you want my illustrious OC lore, you can DM me, I guess. Who the hell even uses Tumblr anymore besides people obsessed with stuff like Fanfiction and OCs? I miss the creative internet.
Ah, environmental storytelling.
Anyway, thank you for reading this, genuinely.
Bye.
