Fresno Ideaworks
Our friends over at Ideaworks were able to make us stand in cut outs of Homer and Bart. This will be a fun addition to the Eat My Shorts art show. Be sure to save Sept. 19th and head on out to have a good time. -WF

Pictures from last night's Open Hack Night.
The inside of the Fresno Ideaworks LED light box. This uses the LPD8806 LED strip, utilizing 68 LEDs in all, and is held in place by duct tape (fitting for a prototype). The shell is made from an old computer case box and spray painted white on the inside and black on the outside. This cycles through several routines such as swirl, loop, random bursts, etc with varying parameters. Here's the Arduino code.

We're collecting up some makers to show off their stuff in our shop. So far we have Bristle Bots, open source software alternatives, Lego sculptures, and the usual Ideaworks 3D printer and Arduino information. More makers are being added, so watch this event for more details!
