“fancy seeing you here.” the smile on freya’s lips was tense at best, uncomfortable at worst. even though they remained in the same group of friends she mostly tried to avoid her ex. until she had no choice but to talk to them while they were in the same room as one another, stuck at a birthday party for one of their group. “having a good night so far?” she asked politely, downing almost half of the contents of the cup in her hand thereafter.
