i haven't reached out to Freyja in some time. a lot happened in my life since i last did a ritual. i went through a gnarly breakup, moved across town, switched jobs like 3 times... insane stuff. i've wanted to reach back out to her, and today finally felt right.
i find that writing her poetry is one of the best ways to reach her, so i wanted to share that poem here today. i started by focusing on aspects of freyja. essentially just getting into her headspace and meditating. after i've written out the poem, i'll recite it a few times and then burn it (keep a glass of water nearby just in case lol)
i watched the smoke from the poem exit through my window, and i felt the weight of her pressing down on me, as i have previously when reciting poetry to her. the love i feel after feeling her presence lingers with me for weeks. it really makes life all that much more glorious.
bountiful freyja, my goddess
beautiful freyja, vanadis
i come to you on this day
to give thanks to you
and to the presence
your role in my life this far has fulfilled
i bring to you this poem
and my continued devotion
may my cats stay healthy
and my goals unwavered
may your aspects stay pure
and your wit uncorrupted
to freyja i pray,
