Agent
Mercy For No One
Instead of continuing writing my WIPs. I started another one 😭😭 just because I binge watching John Wick and Mercy for None so I wrote an AvA human AU with the plot similar to John Wick/Mercy For None.
Here's what I wrote.
Vic took a long drag from the cigarette resting between his bloodstained fingers. The fight had ended only minutes ago. He had beaten the rival gang slash company into submission not enough to kill them, but more than enough to leave them with broken bones and injuries that would take months to heal. It was a warning. If they ever targeted Rocket Corp again or attempted another hit on Agent, Vic wouldn't show them the same mercy a second time.
Judging by the way the rival company and the gang backing it had retreated, the message had been received loud and clear.
Nearby, Agent sat against the wall, breathing heavily as the adrenaline slowly wore off. A deep gash stretched across his arm, one that would definitely require stitches, but aside from that, he only had minor injuries. After some medical attention and a few days of rest, he'd be back on his feet.
The company's medical team hurried over to examine the CEO's cut and bruises while Agent shook his head in disbelief. “I didn't know you could fight that well. You're one hell of a badass."
Vic took one last drag from his cigarette before flicking it onto the pavement. He crushed the glowing ember beneath the heel of his boot and glanced over at Agent. "It's just something I picked up over the years," he says with a casual shrug. "I've always liked boxing... and fighting.”
He had been trying to quit smoking for months, but old habits were hard to break. After a brutal fight or an especially bad day, the craving always crept back, much to his dear father's disappointment.
There had been a time when Vic's name carried weight in the underworld.
The Boogeyman man.
The Grim Reaper .
Cho's right hand man.
Long before Rocket Corp, he had trained under Cho, a respected local gangster who had taught him everything he knew about fighting. It didn't take long for Vic to discover he had a knack for fighting and had a hidden brutal violence inside him. Over the years, he built a reputation that bordered on legend. He had killed more people than he cared to remember, crippled countless others, and left enough survivors traumatized that simply hearing his name was enough to fill them with fear.
Eventually, though, the bloodshed lost its appeal.
The burden of living two lives had become too much to bear, and Alan had begun asking questions that were becoming difficult to answer.
So Vic made a choice and he told Cho he was done.
No more killings. No more jobs for the underworld. He wanted to leave that version of himself behind and dedicate his life to honest work as an inventor at Rocket Corp, the company founded by Mitsi and Agent.
Cho hadn't taken that well and was upset.
He had argued, insisting that Vic was wasting his talent, but in the end he understood. Family came first.
Before they parted ways, Cho clasped Vic's shoulder and offered him one final promise. "If you ever need me," he had said, "all you have to do is call.”
And Alan, Vic's father, had no idea his son had a former second life. As far as Alan knew, Vic was simply the overworked employee of Rocket Corp, buried beneath endless meetings and paperwork and would occasionally get into fights which skyrocketed his high blood pressure. He knew nothing about Vic's connections to the police, criminal organizations, or the influential figures who still remembered his name.
And Vic intended to keep it that way.
Alan was a kind, humble man who worried far too much. If he ever learned the truth, he'd spend every waking moment fearing for Vic's safety and without question, he'd beg him to walk away from that dangerous life for good if he didn't leave already.
And while last time Vic is working in the underworld, Alan on the other hand is living a decent if mediocre life. He worked as an animator for a modest publishing company that produced children's books and illustrated stories and Alan genuinely enjoyed doing it.
Then there was Second Alan's energetic eleven year-old son and Vic's younger brother. The kid had an uncanny ability to be both unbearably adorable and relentlessly mischievous, giving Vic a constant case of cute aggression whenever he was around.
Idk this is just a snippet might continue writing this.

"It's not me you're looking for, is it?"
finally, Agent time
Agent? Classified? John Doe? Who knows!
(Some people-specifically Ballista- believe his name is ACTUALLY "Classified" or "John Doe" and Agent doesn't really have the strength to correct it)
And also the Mercs, huehue
