Patrick was willing to put his entire career at risk to help David get his business up and running. Not only that he was discovering that he may not be a heterosexual male. They opened Rose Apothecary together and the opening night went EXTREMELY WELL.

When he [patrick] found out about David's birthday he insisted on taking him to dinner. Little did sweet David know he had just been trapped into going on a date. Stevie brought this to his attention saying, and I quote, pulling out a present Patrick was going to give David "If there is anything remotely sentimental in the bag, you are on a date." When Patrick came back David opened it against Patrick's wishes and it was the first receipt from the store. Thats kinda sentimental. Once done with dinner Patrick drove David back to the motel.

This ended with David kissing Patrick and leaving with a soft,"Goodnight Patrick."

The next morning there were questions to be asked and they were answered. They always stuck by each other no matter what the situation. It warmed my heart every FUCKING TIME.

Back to Patrick being a new gay, his parents obviously didn't know and they handled it so well and so did Patrick since he knew David was there with him (on the other side of the room eves dropping).
