MOOD: Central Miso Ramon 🍲 @Sapporo Romen @HMart 😋
The past few days have been super eventful!
I took baby g to my friend (work friend who turned into real friend) baby shower on Saturday late morning. She's expecting a girl in a month. It has been a big year for her - job promotion in last fall, got pregnant at the beginning of this year, then purchased home with her husband in the spring, and moved in to their new place in late summer. I was really happy for her!!! She's a fighter and she is definitely enjoying the fruit of her hard work. Going out with baby g by myself was not as terrible as I thought. He was well behaved in the car ride. I guess it will be a while before he could scream at the back of the car asking "are we there yet?"
Then we had our cellgroup meeting on that afternoon followed by dinner. The cellgroup leader said that only 102 days left for 2014 and asked us (without telling the group) where we were with our NY resolution. It was not encouraging at the first place(I pretty much forgot my NY resolution until I looked at the piece of paper I had); it also reminded me that I had approximately 100 days left in my maternity leave for me to 1) bond with baby g and 2) lose my busy season weight.
The thought of having less 100 days did not sit me too well - I seriously stopped putting junk food into my mouth since then. *sniff sniff*
Sunday was our typical church Sunday; but a late lunch did set us back a little bit so we did not get home until like almost 4 PM. ugh.
Monday I tried to keep it "easy". So hubby and I took baby g with us for lunch at Fresh Choice and then we stopped by Home Depot and Bed Bath and Beyond for some quick errands. He picked up a drill at Home Depot while I picked up a couple of curtain rods at BBB (that we will use as the doors for our closet). Our place is still messy - there are still plenty of unopened boxes that we all need to sort out and toss out. ugh - how much stuff do we really need?
In the late afternoon, my youngest sis and I made a quick trip to Costco to get some grocery. I don't shop at Costco often (my hubby and I could only eat that much food and store that much grocery in our 1-bedroom apartment back then). So I was like a kid in a candy store - even though I only set to get a few items we still ended up spending $170 on foods and beverages (!).
So today we visited my cousin K and his wife D along with some of the grocery we got from Costco and some soup from my mom. They just had a son last Thursday! Their son was adorable :) Seeing them reminded me the first week when we had baby g - even though it was only 7 weeks ago somehow I feel like it has been a long long time ago.
Now I just hope to take it easy and slow in the next few days so that I could prepare myself for another weekend :D
