This is called Aerial Sling or hammock, although it's not martial arts I thought it would be a cool submission. I'm practicing inverting on the sling which is hanging upside down, it is really difficult to do as it is nauseating, but a whole lot of fun!
I do this activity as extra training with gym work and I find it has helped me embrace my feminity, as I strive to be a physically stronger(muscular) person.
[ I'm not sure if this kind of content was completely welcomed but I thought I'd give it go :)
Feel free to include this on your Instagram, My Instagram is @bee_maiden if you include those details :) ]
Cheers! :D
I got my first stripe in brazilian jiu jitsu today!

I recently got my orange belt in MMA, so in honour of that, here's a video of me rolling with someone at practice
Staying in Guam for the next month for work. I woke up at 5am and went for a 2 mile run (it’s too hot to run after the sun comes out here! 😖) As someone who’s used to running during the evening it was really hard to find that motivation but I believe in all of y’all!

Following your blog I have begun to realise that despite all the thing factually & medically wrong with my body I still can enjoy doing the things I like doing!
I have severe pain in my knees and back due to years of stress on my joints. I grind my teeth when I’m under stress, causing my muscles to get stiff at night, making getting up in the morning super hard. I work as a vet assistant and my job is 90% walking and standing still, often bent over or crouching. I am in physical therapy to relieve my legs especially. Due to an accident five years ago especially my right knee is suffering. There are days that have me almost crying because of the pain.
Hearing people tell me that they want a body like mine makes me furious though. No, you don’t want this pile of messed up muscles and stiff joints. It’s no fun living with this body bc I have to stretch my stiff muscles almost every second day or else they might seize up and bring a lot of pain to my day.
Despite all that I’m still doing my two fave hobbies: horse riding and motor biking. I’d only ever stop doing that when it’s impossible for me. I like the way my body looks even though it sometimes fails to do the most basic things like walking. I will continue to train and work around my issues as best as I can.
I’m super thankful to have a doctor who takes my distress and pain serious. Both her and my physical therapist are supportive of me and what I do. I wish everyone with similar issues the same.
It makes me so happy to know that your blog exists and seeing all these ladies doing great and amazing things excites me so much. I’m glad that you provide a platform for us!

About four months ago I struggled to even do one of these. Many reasons motivated me to start working out consistently, the most basic being that we are animals and we still have the same bodies that were designed for hunting and gathering, not being sedentary most days during the week. Working out has also helped me become a more confident and happy person as I notice the progress I am making and reminding myself that it doesn’t come easy but with consistency and dedication I’ll get there. Never give up!
