#FridayFanDay! So... I’m a bit late. But one thing I’ve been experimenting with lately is digital art. I remember telling a friend when I was a teenager “I can’t decide if I want to be a musician or an artist!” A parent’s dream I’m sure 😅. Regardless, I’m going to start sharing my fan art if it’s something you all enjoy seeing. Basically, as part of Friday Fan Day, I want to start incorporating art that I make showing respect to people who have either inspired or influenced me in music. For my first attempt (and let’s hope it gets better as I go!) here is the QUEEN GODDESS @mariahcarey . She is the main reason I will always be humble. I’m very competitive and Mariah is someone I will always aspire to, but have yet to come near in skill. As a small child growing up listening to country music, I saw an advertisement for a compilation CD with Mariah Carey “Dream Lover” as part of the mix, waited each time for the ad to show up on tv, then ran for a pen and paper to jot her name down so that I could finally ask for her CD for Christmas. I asked for the “Dream song” and ended up with her “Fantasy” album (not what I’d been looking for but SO pleased nonetheless), and also got an “Emotions” karaoke tape. Yes, I’m old... and YES my parents are gems. I actually studied that karaoke tape to the point where I drew out lines and charts to remind myself of the tune of her ooos and ahhhs. I was probably ... 8 years old? Lol. Point being... Thanks Mariah for always give me skills to aspire to and probably never master 🙌🏼🙌🏼🙌🏼 - - #queen #fanart #fridayfanday #digitalart #mariahcarey #goddess #fantasy #emotions #dreamlover #singer #digitalillustration #musicart #musicianartwork #fanartkpop #procreateart #procreatefanart #mariahcareyfan #mariahcareyfanart #mariahcareyfantasy #mariahcareyforever (at Coeur d'Alene, Idaho) https://www.instagram.com/p/CMEKA4PjBcp/?igshid=v2yflma5cui3
