Somehow I doubt there will ever be a poster for a Disney TV show, film or episode that will beat this one. In my opinion this poster is just a true masterpiece 😊 It is one of the many reasons I am a fan of Sage Cotugno.

Day in Fandom History: October 3…
When Marco fails to get tickets for a movie with his favorite actor in it, in a surprising twist, Tom makes a visit and wants him, and not Star, to hang out, in which Marco begins to grow suspicious of him (Tom) wanting to hang with him (Marco). “Friendenemies” premiered on this day, 7 Years Ago.
I’ve rewatched “Star VS The Forces of Evil” episodes 10-11 season 2. The first part of the first episode is insane… because it’s a huge Tomco amv. Seriously. The point is that Tom wants to earn an “anger control” badge and to do so he has to spend three hours with a person he hates – Marco – without blowing up. So, Tom takes Marco a to movie marathon with Marco’s favourite actor, whom Tom doesn’t like. They hang out in Tom’s carriage and bond – they find out that they have a lot in common and even the same favourite band. Well, at the last moment Tom loses his temper and reveals to Marco his “anger control” challenge, Marco leaves and they sing a romantic song together (!), but Marco still wants to go. Tom brings the actor from the dead and they just sit together and watch as this zombie actor beat cinema security. Wow. I don’t ship Tomco. Yet. The second part of the episode is about Buff Frog finding out Ludo’s “corn empire” and wanting to tell Star about it. The first part of the second episode is a Halloween story – pretty eerie one, to be honest, much creepier than, for example, “Gravity Falls” “Summerween” (season 1, episode 12). The last part shows us the inside of Star’s wand – a lot of magical animals and a small spider with a top hat who organizes everybody else but doesn’t work as a spell himself. In the end, he finds out that he’s one of the strongest spells because he has a huge gun in his hat.
“Too little, too late! Which is my second favorite Love Sentence song, by the way!”
Love your hair, hate your guts.
The Music of Star vs.
I teased a post analyzing the music of this show in my Cornonation review, so, here it is. Note that I will not be analyzing the background music here, but only songs that are sung and/or played in-universe. I won't go into every single song, but there is one very important trend I've noticed, and it has to do with the placement of the song within the show.
Think about the commonality between songs like Too Little Too Late in Friendenemies, Just Friends in Just Friends, and Star's Princess Song in Face the Music. All were season 2 songs used to highlight a negative development or two in Star's and/or Marco's life. All were used to advance a romantic plot line and set up some future awkwardness. Most of this awkwardness came into play in season 3.
Now compare this to the Mewni Rabbit song in Escape From the Pie Folk, Eclipsa and Moon's jam in Moon Remembers, Eclipsa's song on The Ponyhead Show!, and Eclipsa and Globgor's duet in The Monster and the Queen and in Cornonation. All of these songs are used to bring closure in a sweet way. All of these songs are used for positive character developments, and all of them are used to bring characters closer together.
What other songs can you think of that follow (or break) this rule? Do you think Star and Marco will have a duet soon? Do you think any other couples will have a duet? Comment or reblog with your thoughts!
So I just watched Friendenemies... and that was literally the gayest shit I’ve ever seen in my life.
well, I don’t feel very well lately.
