Meet Deep Blue. 

Blue is a sharkticon, a sea-dwelling sister species to the average cybetronian. Rather than sporting a vehicle mode, this bioluminescent beastie can shift her legs to fins and back again, allowing for an amphibious and opportunistic lifestyle. Despite her spacey, gaping mouthed expression, Blue is highly intelligent. She knows more about the depths of Earth’s oceans than most scientists, but she’s not sharing any time soon. Deep Blue is extremely shy, and refuses to respond to direct inquiries. She took her name from an Earth shark, a great white whose tracking records she accessed upon arriving on the planet. 

Equipped with rows upon rows of three-pronged teeth and unsettlingly large and pale eyes, Deep Blue bears an uncanny resemblance to a frilled shark. It is not believed that she currently poses any threat to humanity, but she has been observed to curiously bump and bite boats. It’s theorized that Blue draws sustenance from the chemical soup distributed by deep-sea volcanoes, but shows a particular liking for discarded fishing equipment. It does not appear that Blue consumes it, but rather adds the refuse to a collection whose location is not known. Blue can be observed in coastal waters during the winter, and in the open Atlantic in warmer months. She has been occasionally been sighted leaving the water for extended periods, taking refuge on land to heal mysterious wounds before returning to her pelagic travels.

Hey all! Sorry for the long absence. My personal photographer and make-up artist has had her opposable thumbs busy attending university! I would take photos myself to share with you, but sadly I don’t have hands. I wanted to share with you the lovely time I had at APE last weekend! I chatted with so many amazing humans! I bought this exquisite sketchbook by the talented Tiffany Turrill, tiffanyillustration, as she captured my grandfather’s likeness perfectly! He was such an adventurous one that Waldo.
