I know for a fact that a lot of people will say that “Good Old Fashioned Lover Boy” by Queen can easily be associated with Ineffable Husbands because of Crowley and how well it fits him and Aziraphale (i.e; the “dining at the ritz” part)

(Plus there are animatic videos for this ship, which are AMAZING)

But let me just say that it could also be something that Stan Wheeler might sing about/to Jimmy Bending...because even if Stan is a 40-something-year-old-virgin, he is somewhat of a hopeless romantic.

i am in tears bc i’m listening to “love song” by lana del rey and all i can picture is stan and jimmy in the back seat of jimmy’s car basking in their afterglow and cuddling while this song is somehow playing in the background (lol maybe from jimmy’s stereo) ;-; ;-; ;-; ;-; ;-;

Okay okay but consider this.....Jimmy singing “I Won’t Say I’m In Love” from Hercules about Stan...and Kiki, Brenda, Anna, and maybe even Bri as the muses trying to get Jimmy to admit he’s in love.

Stan and Jimmy on an evening riverboat ride and Kiki is playing wingman/wingwoman, giving hints that Stan should kiss Jimmy.

So we know that Stan has an amazing angelic singing voice, but perhaps Jimmy can sing very well too (but he just does it when he’s alone in his car bc he’s shy of singing in front of people...or in front of Stan bc he trusts him.) 

At one point, it’s raining and the two are cuddled up in their apartment. Stan is resting his head on Jimmy’s chest, and he’s all like “Sing me a song, J...but something that isn’t ‘Sunflower’.” 

J: “W-well I...I don’t know...what other songs.” 

S: “It can be any song! Even one of those noisy and perverted rap songs.” 

J: “Nah, I ain’t gonna rap in front of you.” 

And it takes Jimmy a while to think up a song, until he starts to softly sing “Halo” by Beyonce to Stan, stroking his blond curls and kissing his head in between verses. Stan is taken back by such a sweet song from Beyonce of all people, and it warms his heart. They intertwine their fingers as Jimmy continues to sing to his boyfriend.

I have an angsty prompt for you! This is set before Stan and Jimmy start dating. Stan is still trying to pick up girls, has another failed attempt and feels like maybe he just isn’t good enough. Jimmy comforts him, but feels sad inside because he wants Stan to date him instead of some random girls off the street. Maybe Stan actually goes on a date with Brenda and exceeds? Jimmy starts acting rude around Stan and Stan doesn’t even know why. “Why have you been acting so weird lately Jimmy?”

Oh my GOSH  ;.; I mean this is a really neat prompt! I like this! 

Like on the outside, Jimmy plays it cool and acts like Stan trying to pick up women is fine. But on the inside? OH, BOY, is Jimmy’s heart being pulled apart. And the thing is that Jimmy is grateful that Stan is BAD at picking up women, even though its a fucked up thing to be grateful for because Jimmy sees it as another opportunity to get closer to Stan. At the same time though, he wants Stan to be happy, and if that means he’s happy getting a date with Brenda and then eventually they become an item, then all Jimmy could do is watch…until eventually it hurts him so much that Jimmy just fucking becomes distant from Stan. 

Lol this reminds of that Taylor Swift song “You Belong With Me”. (hehe imagine Jimmy listening to Taylor Swift)

Consider other than “Halo” and “Sunflower”, Jimmy sings this song to Stan. (lol it's short and not REALLY Rex Orange County singing but it’s so sweet regardless!)

okay but on a totally different topic, “My Kind of Woman” from Mac DeMarco gives me some soft Friendlypack vibes (if you can get over the pronouns lol)
