Charlie's brows furrowed in confusion when the man drew the lines on her neck. Still, she thought it was harmless--until she saw him swing back his long blade. "What are you--" Then, it clicked for her.
The demoness let out a scared yelp and ducked to the side before his blade could make contact with her neck. Scrambling up from the ground, Charlie made a run for it. She didn't know who this man or why he wanted to kill her, but she wasn't sticking around to find out.
