This post is really as much about Firestation Records as it is about Friends Again (Glasgow, Scotland). While I've really enjoyed Friends Again's sophisti-pop over the last couple of years, I'm just blown away by Firestation Records who have a long record of reissuing/releasing fine sounds from the British 1980s music scene. Along with Friends Again, we've posted about Captain Cocoa, Endless Bob Brown and The Last Peach.

Another Firestation release is The Sullivans, "Somewhere Songs". The few songs I've heard belong with all the bands mentioned above. Throw in a little Orange Juice for good measure. "This is Where We Part", "I've Had My Moments", and "Here It Is" are all wonderful introductions to the band. You can actually get "Somewhere Songs" on Bandcamp - just with no music. The album is sold out at Firestation Records, but Sullivans member Jo Clack has a Bandcamp page where he's selling a few copies.

Finally, Jigsaw Records has a large catalogue of Firestation releases ready for your perusal.
