Home away from Home
Even though I was born in Austria, almost every year we go on holidays to my mum home country Belarus and yes sometimes I feel overwhelmed by suddenly being surrounded by like 15 people when you are not used to it, but the second I get used to it I feel like I belong here. The political situation there is not great and still you will never be invited to tea and just find tea on the table. No there will be homegrown vegetables, fresh Fish catched by a good friend and more. You can call people after 5 years and ask if a friend of yours could stay the night at there home and they will say yes and find room, regardless how small there home is. Being back in Vienna I miss this feeling. Yes I love my friends and the family members I have here, but I have never seen someone here being as kind towards other people (who are not part of there family or are super close friends) than I have seen there. If you would like to know more about my trip let me know!
