Fripouille (le chien de Chantal) est en train de mourir à petit feu depuis quelques jours, ce matin il est arrivé à marcher jusqu'à la caravane dans notre auvent. Il n'arrivait pas à monter alors j'ai du l'attraper pour le mettre à l'intérieur (je précise qu'il fait -5 ici), je l'ai emmitouflé dans 3 couvertures et j'ai mis le chauffage à côté de lui pour qu'il arrête de grelotter en attendant que Chantal vienne le chercher (avec une brouette parce qu'il est plus capable de se relever). Ça va être sa dernière journée... Ça me rend triste, je le vois tout les jours depuis 4ans et c'est le dernier chien de la maison (sans compter la nôtre) alors je suis toute tristoune qu'il parte 😔

Je l'entend ronfler depuis tout à l'heure, il s'est réchauffé et il dort bien, je veux lui faire un nid douillet pour ses derniers moments avec nous 💖

I had a fur baby back in the '90s! Her name is (was) Fripouille (which means little scoundrel(affectionate)). I had to scan those old pics haha

Here she is just being beautiful, and top right was her first winter - our first play in the snow!!! then it's her stuck around a tree (dogs will be dogs) and then Halloween time! with bunny ears (she had a cute little wool pompom tail too). I don't know how I managed to make her keep the ears (just white cardboard and a string) and the tail, but it worked. Bonus: when she'd wag her own tail, the little pompom would wag (the illusion was perfect). We did go around the neighbourhood with some kids my friend was babysitting we had a blast.

I also had other pets as a kid, like fishies (I named the bottom feeder after the cleaning guy at my school cause he was nice and he brought us a bat one time to look at). And a hamster I fostered for my allergic friend lol

I dunk on Titanic, Moulin Rouge, and Like Water for Chocolate a lot for being het-blahblob media

and I'm not saying raoulstine can't be genuinely sweet and interesting, but just sometimes the appeal to me is in the almost self-aware parody of those kids should run away together because just look how happy they are

With the class-difference swapped, this is a Raoul and Christine variant to me and I love it.
