A delicious twist on the classic burger, the Southwestern Frito Burger combines the flavors of ground beef, crunchy Fritos, and savory spices for a satisfying meal with a southwestern flair.
Ingredients: 1 lb ground beef. 1/2 cup crushed Fritos corn chips. 1/4 cup diced onion. 1/4 cup diced bell pepper. 1/4 cup shredded cheddar cheese. 1 teaspoon chili powder. 1/2 teaspoon cumin. 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder. Salt and pepper to taste. 4 hamburger buns. Lettuce, tomato, and additional Fritos for topping optional.
Instructions: Put crushed Fritos, diced onion, diced bell pepper, shredded cheddar cheese, chili powder, cumin, garlic powder, salt, and pepper in a bowl. Mix the ingredients together. Mix everything together well. Make 4 burgers out of the mix. Set the grill or pan on medium-high heat to get it ready. The patties should be cooked for four to five minutes on each side, or until they are done the way you like them. Grill or pan-sear the hamburger buns for one to two minutes on each side. Put the cooked patties on the toasted buns to make the burgers. If you want, you can add more crushed Fritos, lettuce, and tomato on top. Enjoy while hot!
