George Groves and Pink Collar Boxing; The Mouthguard Shop and Queensbury Rules
On Saturday this week George Groves will get his 2nd crack at Carl Froch's WBA and IBF Super Middleweight belts. After the first fight which Groves appeared quite comfortable in, controlling the action until a controversial stoppage, the London boxer didn't feel the need to change much. He did change his protection though; Groves is the latest elite level athlete to get a Mouthguard custom made by TheMouthguardShop and he's never felt more comfortable saying he's "never felt safer than now with a Mouthguard from TheMouthguardShop"
But our eyes are not just on protecting the elite, which is why this week we have begun our latest partnership with Midlands based Pink Collar Boxing. The team at Pink Collar Boxing train women for free for white-collar style boxing events while raising money for worthwhile causes. If you'd like to find out more about Pink Collar Boxing visit their website at www.pinkcollarboxing.co.uk or find them on Facebook.
And don't forget to protect those gnashers people - http://themouthguardshop.com/
Watching Froch/Groves II: The Gloves Are Off and I can’t help but laugh at everything that Froch says, what an idiot!
Video of the week
This week's 'Video of the week' is from TVC of all people!
Working with our client Betway we have been helping them exploit their sponsorship of the big Rematch between Carl Froch and George Groves.
The match is due to take place next Saturday (31st) at Wembley Stadium, the first time boxing returns to Wembley since it reopened in 2007.
The fight is highly anticipated due to the nature of the decision in the first match in November. Groves being the underdog floored Froch in the first round, but then Froch went on to beat Groves in the 9th round.
TVC have been on hand to film exclusive content with interviews with both the boxers. Below is Karl Froch basically using the word disrespectful, a lot.
More importantly, Who are you backing?
The Week That Was
Welcome to another instalment of The Week That Was from TVC. This week includes scary celebs, futuristic 'cool stuff' and generally being brilliant at our jobs.
First up, here's us with Olympian Hannah Miley today in Glasgow ahead of British Gas SwimBritain which kicks off NEXT WEEK. Haven't signed up yet? Fear not, you're not too late.. https://swimbritain.co.uk/
On Wednesday, we saw a glimpse into the future of aviation with the easyJet Innovation Event.
Game changing technology including drones, 3D augmented reality and bespoke were showcased to the media at easyJet HQ at Luton Airport. We know right, how cool is that!?
And last but not least, a picture of Lee Bassin. (It wouldn't be a week that was without him or Leon).
Here's Lee with the seriously scary Carl Froch (with Lee doing his best scariest *fist punch*).
Lee met the boxing champ in preparation of the big rematch, Froch vs Groves. If you don't know anything about it, where have you been????
It's most highly anticipated fight of the century after the very controversial decision of the first fight last year. TVC are on board with our client, Betway who are sponsoring the event on the 31st May.
Which team are you? #TeamFroch #TeamGroves?
Tune is next week for more news (and pictures of Lee or Leon)...
