Various titles from a line of JRPGs called Shin Megami Tensei. They’re the predecessors to Pokemon and Digimon both but didn’t quite take on as much as the former since it’s generally on the gritty side and explores a lot of existential themes and challenges a lot of things about human nature.
Also Jack Frost is very silly and cute, if not literally morbidly so. The games are great and have very wonderful soundtracks, to the degree I could say some of them inspired me to make music of my own, but I can’t say they’ve all aged the best. But I might just not have the patience for random encounters anymore in games.
