I went to ‘Cats’ with @inaseaofmidnightblue and I just want to mention two things I hadn’t seen anyone ripping it apart for yet and I think these are MAJOR... 1) how they ruined Mungojerrie and Rumpleteazer’s song...

2) how they ruined Mr Mistoffelees’ song AND personality... As for more CGI weirdness I noticed... 1) hands and feet are sometimes human... sometimes furry...

2) often there were no contact shadows or cast shadows of any kind...

3) sometimes they were like... floating above the ground... like the CG models weren’t placed properly or something... jfc like... why did they the decision to do full CGI...

Otherwise... I didn’t love it... but I didn’t utterly hate it?? Like it explained the plot of ‘Cats’ that otherwise never had any real plot explaination in the musical. So that was like... the one main thing I’ll give it props for... I guess...
