It's so crazy how Rick when out of his way to state that Annabeth doesn't trust Jason when her trust for Thalia is absolute, unflinching. Thalia is deified & Jason is not, Annabeth doesn't do well with replacements. But, is Jason a replacement as much a supplement?

I think Jason wishes they were closer, like actual siblings, Annabeth is everything he, as praetor, wanted to be, and she represents a whole connection to his past, to Thalia, because Thalia cannot see them that often. Thus, we must rely on ourselves to fill in these blanks, to ponder the relationship between Jason & Annabeth mediated through Thalia and the lens of two people with absolutely shit childhoods that led to different responses at the time.

I had a fic concept based solely around Annabeth picks no side and everyone is left scrambling. She's literally the keeper of the keys to Camp Half-Blood, and I genuinely think she's capable of organizing a long-term fight against Kronos with the statues and the Labyrinth by herself. She carried everyone in TLO and, again, so very capable.

And I don't think Percy will be trying to get her back as much as he's begging to join her but Annabeth is convinced she's unlovable. Percy's loyalty is to her and his mom above all. He's following her around and she's like, nooo, i don't matter, i'm not important, don't waste yourself on me.

Probably would be like a cliche of enemies to lovers but they not really enemies , they don't know how to deal with their weird tension (psyco/sexual) , very different from each others but very succesfull in their areas (i don't know if they work directly together or only interact in meetings and stuff like that )

Ayrton looks like a type of colleague that all the office have a crush , they would think like this idea of Alpha male or something like that but he is very awkward and silly. In the other hand Alain , I see him with glasses, very intelectual, nice guy , sad eyes like a tired office worker

Ayrton, the new technical guy for Ferrari, and Alain, the established head. Ayrton is a little crazy with his ideas until they start paying off. Alain is very good at his job, but he's been distracted trying to take care of his niece and son, so Ayrton is a welcome breath of fresh air at first. Then Ayrton starts pushing and Alain starts pushing back. One driver (Rubens) prefers Ayrton's approach, and the other (Jean Alesi) (let me enjoy my hypothetical) is more used to Alain's way of doing things and the garage slowly starts to splinter.

They both do wear nerdy glasses, Ayrton has jerked off to the thought of them, and Alain always has to take a deep breath when Ayrton to nibbling on the end of one. Jean and Rubens are completely fine, but their parents are having a psychosexual rivalry in the background lmao. Jean does have a tiny crush on Ayrton and Rubens does mock him on live television.

I'd put a lot more of Ayrton's reserved and brooding personality in the forefront. He's quiet, he's analytical, Rubens has only ever heard him laugh with Alain. Meanwhile, Alain is more vivacious in a sense. He's running around putting out fires, being basically a single dad most of the time. He's the one who gets the final say and has to brief Piero on everything. There are a lot of calls to Niki.

Neither of them would do well in corporate. So, I think making them part of the Ferrari family and giving them new jobs but similar motivations as they are really would help me make the story pop a lot more. More of their actual personality and less headcanon, I suppose.

Aegon was a way bigger problem, but was also dealt with far cleaner than in canon

Helaena was able to bloosom into her own person, thanks to Leonyra always being in her corner.

Daeron got pretty screwed here, coodled by his controlling mom and dying too young to see it.

There are consequences to her actions and I think it makes the story richer and more complex instead of being a rote retelling of the Princess and the Queen!
