Okay, I've been seeing a post going around (aka I've seen it once) regarding a certain word used in a post about joining the US military.
Yes, the word 'groom' is used correctly. They send recruiters to elementary schools here. I was seven or eight when I first saw a man in uniform in my school talking about how the army could be my future.

They literally groom the children in the united states to join the military.
No, you can't enlist until you're of age, but they absolutely go out of their way to put it in your head as a kid that you'll Be A Hero and Kill Bad Guys.
