Giant Selenite, Detail by cobalt123 Via Flickr: A remarkable, very large slab of selenite from Morocco, seen at the Flagg Gem and Mineral Show in Mesa, Arizona, January 7, 2012. See the previous two photos for the scale of this specimen, I will always remember seeing this one and it is another "one that got away". I didn't have the $600 to pay so I had to pass on it. But seriously, if I actually had that kind of money available, I would have had a major dilemma in deciding whether to buy it or not. I think $600 is about the right price for retail, but maybe a parking lot fair is not a good place for it to be sold. And the "Tucson Show" is just 3 weeks away, the largest rock and gem show in the world. Can't wait!
