something about Simon not believing in the principles of Eden, but still getting grouped together with the “Eden Scum”. Something about him sharing his own theories that Eden wouldn’t approve of with a hallucination stranger on the radio, just because he never could before. Eden wouldn’t like it, but doesn’t it make sense? Isn’t it a nicer way to think?
something about him apologizing to his Brother, the convict in the submarine before him, but saying that he’d been betrayed by his Brothers because he’d been the only one to try and save Filament Station. Something about him believing in no god, but believing in people
“Eden gave me the tattoo,” he’d said. “The COI burned it off,” he’d said. “I didn’t choose either of them, but I still ended up with the scar.”
he didn’t choose Eden, but he chose the people in it. They didn’t choose him. He certainly didn’t choose the COI, but he still apologized for the radiation over and over. God, he apologizes so much
