this is how i envisioned their relationship in a nutshell
I presently have nine unfinished posts sitting in my drafts. I wanted to post one about the PoVs and how the change is significant when the change happens. And then I wanted to talk about what we know of the Holmes Family and how it gets interpreted. My last attempt was about Holmes's sexuality, and how the way he was written leads us to draw a variety of conclusions regarding the Victorian Era itself.
But as you would notice, I have not posted any of that (because life is hectic and exams are torture for my attention deficit brain) And in worrying about everything, I forgot something crucial. I do this for fun. I like analysing various parts of this character and his stories. And every single time that I talk about Sherlock Holmes is special, even when some of the adaptations irritate or bother me. He is very dear to me, and I celebrate him every time I think about him. So I am not going to post any of those three things I wrote. Instead I will go and study the Second World War and think about how even Arthur Conan Doyle got sick of a character he was writing just because how exhausting it became. He started writing the original stories for fun but when things started becoming too much of a chore for him, it really became more of a bother than a pastime or an escape. So I will, for the foreseeable future, limit myself to reblogs and pick up back where I left off after my exams are done.
how did we end up here
Hi everyone, @too-attached-to-fiction here. I’ve never run a blog like this one before, but I have been on tumblr for the last seven years and have witnessed many, many things on this cursed site. This blog is primarily for fun and just a place I’m gonna use in attempt to put *some* context to our combined, one brain-cell bullshit that we do on a daily basis. If you think any post should be on this blog, feel free to submit it into the submissions box (i.e. not in messages). Thanks!
