1, 3, 25, 27 for that anime ask thing!!!

1. first anime you ever watched: that would have to be sailor moon i'll bet! but the first anime i remember getting p into i think was cardcaptor sacker actually! but that i REALLY fell in love w rurouni kenshin in jr high, as all my true friends kno uwu*

3. favorite anime character: that'd be himura kenshin!! i love that show so so so much but i just learned a lot about myself and the kind of person i wanted to be from him and thinking of him still comforts me to this day tbph uwu* there are lots of AMAZING characters i've admired but kenshin is the on true anime love i've always had (and probs always will tbqh) he’s so patient with himself and others, kind, and forgives others and works hard to forgive himself by helping! ahhhh <3

25. anime you would recommend to someone who hates anime: honestly? i'd have to ask what kind of shows/media they're into in the first place & gauge it from there! but a rec that i push is mushishi since it's so different and chill plus the art's amazing and so is the music, plus it's p episodic which is a plus!! it's not typical anime in the slightest rly and i think that's appealing in a sea of high school shounen shoujo supernatural high school anime, yknow? i suppose i'd also rec cowboy bebop since that's a classic and also…. idk! might come back to this one. but i think that'd be it, rly!

27. anime you plan to watch in the future: i plan to CONTINUE beyond the boundary & the new series of mushishi but as far as brand new series to watch, i'm not too sure…. i think i'd still wanna watch utena, too! i can't think of any others i've been meaning/dyin to watch but might upd8 if i think of some!! >w<

after tdov, i have been doing a lot of thinking + feeling re: presentation+pronouns and i have concluded i’m more genderfluid than i was previously giving myself credit for.

w pronouns specifishly (huhuhu), “she”, in particular, has always held this v powerful allure with it, whenever i saw it written esp but also heard, SUPER esp if it was in reference to me. it makes me feel powerful but also sometimes uncomfortable like how heels can make me feel badass but they pinch and rub and hurt, too. i tried conceptualizing my brother referring to me as “they” and suddenly i didn’t feel any pressure, whether powerful nor pinching. if felt squashy and comfortable, like puling on my favorite hoodie or sweater and settling into the best spot on the bed.

that said, i think i’m going to try out they/them going into the future. i identify intensely with femininity. but i’ll give myself a break and tap into androgyny some more too, i reckon. :3

food for thought - does anyone know anything about nonbinary gender in pasifika language? moana-li myb? :’o
