yoooo sofi! could you answer c, r, t and w for the fanfic asks? ☺️
Hi, Jaaaaaaaayyy!!! But of course ♥
C: What member do you identify with most?
I don't think I identify with any other character strongly enough to add a new answer, so here is my n1 (Lucas) and n2 (Liz).
R: Are there any writers (fanfic or otherwise) you consider an influence?
I'm gonna sound like an asshole, but no. And not because there aren't, of course there are, but because I couldn't tell you if I tried. I'm honest to God not aware of them, because I'm not consciously trying to alude to any aspect of anyone else's writing. On top of that, I don't really write fiction in Spanish to cite any authors there, and I don't read much fiction in English to cite any here.
This is a horrible answer, but it's an honest one. My only guideline when writing is that the words make sense first, and I like (at least a little bit) how they flow second. So if my writing reminds you of someone else's, please let me know because I'm curious lol. My influences are unknown to me, but that doesn't mean I'm any less thankful for them finding their way into my brain. (Although on second though I could potentially blame them for the things I don't like in my writing so maybe I should research this a bit more...)
T: Any fandom tropes you can’t stand?
This kinda relates to a previous answer where I said I don't like the concept of tropes... I know tropes happen naturally, they are patterns of storytelling that will inevitable repeat... But often (not always, by any means, there are a lot of examples of greatly executed tropes) they go exactly the same way every time. So that's why there are no tropes I actively go after, because I don't want to read similar dynamics. Idk.
But tropes I avoid? Well, apart from the weird ones like the wolves one (there's an acronym for it but I can't remember it), or like incest, or non con, abuse, or the weird ridiculous ones (unless they're parodies, then I'm all in), I stay away from Professor-Student things, arranged marriages, codependence, extreme angst... I don't know if those qualify as tropes, but they're at least elements I'm not drawn to.
W: Do you like more general prompts, or more specific ones?
Definitely depends on the prompt. I don't really have a strong preference for either one. They will both sparkle a scenario, and likely some dialogue (which in the case of the specific one will probably include the prompt itself) and I just work from there.
Some specific prompts can be hard to work with if I don't get an idea for them that either fits my characters or fits what I like to write. But general prompts can also be quite hard when you have little imagination, like in my case lol
Thank you sooo much for the ask, Jay! ♥
