It wasn't meant to be demeaning intentionally. Just a little entertaining when people find out that it's a roughly decade old character. On a side note, it does make me wonder if (hardcore) fans who wanted a Battle Frontier in every Gen actually remember any of the Frontier Brains at all? (Lucy might be an exception)

Some of the Frontier Brains are turning up in Masters EX - so far we've got Noland and Lucy from Hoenn and Darach, Thorton, and Palmer (unplayable so far) from Sinnoh.

Perhaps the most notable original Frontier Brain (i.e. Hoenn) is actually Anabel, given her appearance in Gen 7 - though she's obviously not a Frontier Brain anymore in that context. She has yet to turn up in Masters EX, but I can't imagine she won't, especially since Looker is now already there. Perhaps when they get to Alola in the Villains Arc storylines they'll add her.

Right now, as it stands with Masters EX, here are the battle facility heads not in the game:

Hoenn Battle Frontier: Brandon, Greta, Tucker, Spenser, Anabel (will likely show up as her Gen 7 self and not her prior identity as Salon Maiden)

Sinnoh Battle Frontier: Dahlia, Argenta (Palmer is in but unplayable)

Kalos Battle Chatelaines: Nita, Dana, Morgan

In general, I have a lot of thoughts about battle facilities and whatnot - the Battle Frontiers in Hoenn and Sinnoh were immensely popular with more serious players, and Game Freak struck gold with the Battle Subway. To this day, no battle facility heads have been more popular than Ingo and Emmet, and they're the only ones to get actual merch besides being on cards for the TCG. Game Freak tried to repeat that success with the Battle Chatelaines, four siblings, but they didn't seem to be picked up as well as Submas was (except maybe Evelyn, who has made it into Masters EX). Things have really been on the decline since - Alola's Battle Tree did give us Red and Blue all grown up, which was great, but Gen 8 just...did not follow up. We returned to a Battle Tower, and you don't even get to meet a facility head in Doubles. It's just Leon, and he only turns up in Singles. Considering the competitive game actually revolves around Doubles, it feels odd. I'm really hoping for a good battle facility in Scarlet and Violet.

As a side note, some of the Frontier Brains played a bigger role in the anime. (Pyramid King) Brandon actually was an important character by the time the anime reached Sinnoh, which is a bit odd because he was a Hoenn Frontier Brain, but he wiped the floor with Paul with his Regis, which was probably very satisfying to watch.
