Are you still doing the merman and the prince story?
I sure am! In fact, I finished a chapter for it just recently so now it just needs the illustrations and it’s ready for posting! :D

Mettaton as a pianist? I'm not sure that would work. He'd portably lay on the piano more than play it. Which I honestly don't think his fans would care just as long as they get to see Mettaton

Saw you talking about ask, stuff so I thought you'd find this inserting. I made a Sims Mettaton and every time I try to get him to be social he stares at me with this "help me" face. Or if a Sim talks to him he does that "smile and nod" thing while he looks for a way to escape. I don't think he really likes people.

I can definitely relate with him, though. I’ve felt the “omg, please release me from this social situation” many times before.
Let's not forget that's he's dancing in high heels with legs he didn't have for that long
Yeah, it’s like he was just born out of the robot womb with legs and now he can run around and do anything like a colt fresh outta the mother horse, trotting around like he was meant to have legs all along.
He probably thinks Siri is a bit slow or is just shy, but nothing will convince him that she isn't real

“Oh, so robot lives are somehow less real to you, hmm?”

Well Mettaton is a robot he probably thinks Siri is sentient like him. I just picture him meeting his phone and thinking its a tiny little robot. He's so happy to see another robot. And he's so heartbroken when he finds out she's not real.
Aww, now I feel sad for him!
But also, imagining him being given a phone and him immediately assuming it’s a little robot is hilarious. “Ah! This device has vast amounts of knowledge and will answer any of my questions, it must be sentient!” He spends a lot of time chatting with it and forgiving it for not being a very good communicator (he likes just talking about himself anyway).
Later on, when it’s all revealed to him that Siri isn’t real, he’s even more confused. It makes more sense to him that someone could create a sentient robot than someone being able to programme something that has voice recognition and uses algorithms and stuff to work.
Alphys’ explanation goes straight over his head. Don’t worry, Siri, he still believes in you.

Maybe when he becomes King he gets a very sudden craving for Froot Loops, then.
