frostbite guys :)
I wanted to try briefly making something more simple in terms of pixel art and I only somewhat succeeded at that one.
Tate here got a simpler animation, with a blink cycle for his eyes and the little next cursor on the dialogue. Aside from that, his sprite came out much larger than I expected to fit his features in and I ended up with some more elaborate shading since I decided to skew closer to the coloring of the game, including dropping for colors from the reference itself.
I had to heavily simplify the card back's design because of the space I had available, but I think the border design in general turned out well with the 3 cards you can choose in Tate's little game, along with a 4th card to see that back design.
Okay! I reworked this sketch and left it uncolored because I was unhappy with it.
Anyways, here's Tate again. Fais dodo 'sha.
