On the astrology topic I had an aunt that was super into astrology and had 20-30 books on it give or take my exaggeration. She read me one that like picked out to the day deciding how I was going to develop and ended it with "your downfall will come from determination to help others" like it was supposed to scare me and she got so mad when I pretty much said "that sounds like a good way to go." Dunno why I wanted to share that, but i did.

All in a good cause.

I think my downfall will be making jokes that no one picks up on ;)

So I'm playing 5e and I'm looking at multiclassing ranger and Kensai monk. But after listening to a certain podcast I'm of the mindset that if I multiclass I need to name this hybrid of classes, any ideas for Beast master Ranger + Kensai Monk class name?

Hmmm, the pack master, maybe? Scourge, if your character is a little harsher/more predatory in his way of commanding his beast allies. Fang of the Forest?

So, I'm going to be getting married soon, but my future wife and I are delaying the large ceremony due to us moving (military) and so we are planning how we want the ceremony to go. One of the ceremony things she liked was the joined altar of the bride and groom, but she's atheist and doesn't know what she would put there. I just suggested objects that mean a lot to her or describe who she is but we aren't particularly sure. Thoughts?

I don’t think that it being an altar necessarily means the things have to be religious. (Oh, wait, that is sort of what an altar is, isn’t it.) True but in this case, I think the things should represent you both as people. Who you are separately but more importantly, what you want to create together. So something from her past, something from the present and something that leads to the future.

Hey there. Just saw your talk with that sailor. when you were army were you mortar or rifle? I'm Air Force but I'm assigned with the 25 Infantry Division right now over in Hawaii so whenever I find out someone was infantry I usually ask the question.

11B is rifleman, 11C  is mortar. I myself was mostly a 240b gunner in the 4th ID out of colorado

Story from my current ranger: Human ranger in 5e, from a nomadic tribe that was nearly wiped out by orcs. Made my way to the last large city in this world, met up with party on a boat en route to said city. get caught up in a gang war, open a door and immediately get crit and knocked down to 1 hp. Try to contribute with bow (I was building for finesse dual wield) but I can't get a decent roll to save my life. Rogue gets hit hard by mini-boss, he's nearly dead. Rush w/ swords, crit kill boss.

Way to make a comeback!

I am almost sure the thing you Feb logged about maps does not refer to like, geographical maps, and I would like to know what that acronym is?

It means “Minor Attracted Person” but its just a term pedophiles use to describe themself to escape the stigma of being pedophiles and try to turn it into a like “We’re just misunderstood!” thing.

Do you have a name for the race? Do you think multiple queen/colonies per planet, or just one?

I’m thinking Apiana for the race name. And I’d say as long as there’s only one Queen per colony you could have as many as you want, but well established ones would be pretty big and it would be kinda hard for nearby start-ups to compete for resources. Cooperation between rival colonies wouldn’t be very common either if you need conflict.
