I photographed this cool pic of the Sydney Opera House about 25 years ago. What I love about this picture is that I made the tree the tree the main star of this picture. Sometimes, I find that instead of me finding the light, it finds me. Take this moment at Honolua Bay on the island of Maui. I'd been there since sun up, photographing surfing for the surf magazines and I was just really winding down and getting ready to put my gear away at the end of the day, when I noticed this bit of golden light happening below me. Shooting it a the relatively slow shutter speed of 1/60th of second gave it that extra little push. A real keeper as it turned out and it has sold on all three major continents. :). I called this picture; Gold Swirl and it's shown here as a triptych canvas.
