If anyone asks, I spent the whole day working!
I actually did spend a lot of time doing real work. I replied to emails, and put started building a couple spreadsheets. One of which, I absolutely can not do more than few lines of without physically being in the office with the resources I need. The other one, I have almost all of the data I need accessible to me at home. But it is a LOT. So, it definitely will provide me plenty of work to do if I this "working from home" experiment lasts longer than today.
I also spent a little time taking care of some more personal business. I went outside to experience the snow for a few minutes. As well as making sure to run my car to keep the battery from dying and making sure nothing else on it freezes up, just in case I absolutely do have to go somewhere at any point.
The rolling blackouts still have not hit my neighborhood yet. I'm expecting it to possibly happen later tonight. There are many people (my mother and sister included) that have been without power for several hours throughout the day.
Now to just go through the rest of my evening wondering just what tomorrow will bring. Will it be more of today’s experience? Or will we try to make it through a “normal” day.... but still freezing cold and covered in snow.
